GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.• Locate the head in advance and draw its approximate size using an oval • Draw 1 horizontal line above the head. Above it, draw another line equal to half the height of the head. • Draw 1 horizontal line under the head. Below it, add 2 more lines equal to the height of the head. • On the left and right sides of the head, draw a vertical line. Draw from them to the sides: -on the left, 1 lines equal to the width of the head plus 1 line equal to 1/4 of the widths; -on the right, 2 lines equal to the width of the head.

STEP 1. Draw a line for the neck and a figure for the torso.

STEP 2. Separate the face with lines. Draw auxiliary circles for the shoulders and draw two lines from them.

STEP 3. Mark out the eyes. Start drawing the coat and erase any excess lines.

STEP 4. Sketch out the nose and mouth. Draw the collar and sleeve lines. Remove any unnecessary lines.

STEP 5. Start drawing the shape of the hat. Draw the pupils and lips. Finish with the shape of the head. Make the palto half-open.

STEP 6. Draw the back of the hat. Add creases to the face. Sketch the collar and the large button.

STEP 7. Draw eyebrows and a bandage on the face. On the face, add wrinkles. Detail the hat and coat. Add a button hole.

STEP 8. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour bandaged, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.

STEP 9. Colour in the picture and bring it to life. Enjoy your drawing.
